How to Grow & HarvestΒ Tarragon

Β

When to Plant

Tarragon needs a dry and warm environment to grow, day and night. Β  You can start them indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost for your area and then transplant the seedlings outdoors when the weather warms up. Β

Β

How to Plant

Once established, the plants will grow well with little to no attention. You can fertilize, but it's really only necessary in very poor soil. Β  Allow the soil to dry in-between waterings. Β Remember that tarragon will flourish and do best if the soil is slightly dry.Β

Β

When to Harvest

You may harvest both the leaves and flowers from the tarragon plant. Store them in a dry, and cool area. You may also freeze or dry the leaves for later use.Β
