- Carrot Seeds | Carrots are an annual cool-season crop, half-hardy to frost and light freezes. Sow seeds evenly in a very shallow furrow, about 1/4 inch deep, and keep seeds moist so they will germinate.

Carrot gets its characteristic and bright orange colour from β-carotene, which is metabolised into vitamin A in humans when bile salts are present in the intestines. Carrots are also rich in dietary fibre, antioxidants, and minerals.

"The recent order that contained the Kuroda carrot seeds, arrived in a timely manner. It has allowed me to proceed with my fall garden planting, which I hope to keep in production until a killing frost arrives. Our location has changed from a Zone 6 to a Zone 7a, which has move the date of the killing frost in a very few years from 10/12/2005---12/10/2017."

"Quantity of carrot seeds seemed low. Was supposed to be approx. 130 seeds, but there were probably only about 75 or so - however, I did not physically count them, so I don't know how many seeds I actually recieved. That is my only complaint. Everything else with my order was perfect. Great customet service, fast delivery, and the seeds getminated in less than 7 days - great quality! The 99 cent sampler packs are perfect for my small garden, no leftover seeds. Will definitelty order from seedsnow again. P.S. The beet seeds germinated quickly too, within 5 days!"
